I guess on one hand there's really not any harm in talking about what you know as it relates to world events. (As opposed to trying to sound smart about things which you have zero knowledge of to try and stay "on topic".)

On the other it does demonstrate a distinct lack of tact. Still, when disasters happen, when is it appropriate to discuss concurrent or consequential events??

Without getting into the choking irony of Valleywag bemoaning tastelessness, why should the business fallout of the quake not be covered by a business site? What's tasteless about it, exactly?

Meanwhile, where can an employee of a Silicon Valley company find a couple of Japanese prostitutes who will take money for throwing up into each other's mouths while the employee of a Silicon Valley company watches and masturbates? Is there anyone at Valleywag who specializes in providing advice on such matters?
