		    <description><![CDATA[<p>That doesn't make it right. Keeping AMD and Intel at each other's throats is good for consumers.  I dread to think what things will be like if Intel finally corners the market for processors (they aren't that far from it now).  Prices would go up, but more importantly innovation would go down.  I would love to see the PowerPC come back as an alternative in more than just XBoxes and Playstations.  My Powerbook is the most reliable computer I've ever had and probably will be until the disk drive goes or something.  It runs circles around an equivalently speced Intel chip and of course isn't vulnerable to most computer viruses which target Wintel machines.</p> <p><a href="http://blog.macb.net">macbeach</a></p>]]></description>
