		    <description><![CDATA[<p>As has been written previously, The Herring was once a media business with an events component, and is now an events business with a media component. <br>
On the upside, the April issue finally came out (in May), and is the first paper issue available to the reading public this year. <br>
Looks like they finally paid their printer.<br>
To be fair, Herring events are good networking opportunities. <br>
I suppose it's the idea that it's a real media company that continues to rankle those in the know.<br>
Fortunately, startup CEOs aren't stupid. They're there to get publicity, and to the extent that Red Herring continues to periodically (quarterly?) publish, that should keep everyone happy, except the subscribers and Red Herring employees.</p> <p>crashtestpilot</p>]]></description>
