Moving to the Mac is potentially more bark than bite: Mac:Office and Windows XP run very well on the Mac and is not uncommon in enterprise accounts. So the real loser here may be Dell and Dell alone.

@CaliforniaCajun: If you've ever worked in a unix company, you'll know your statement is not true.

A lack of virii does not make a system secure. Besides, if Mac ever gets any real market share, those systems will get pwned too because it will actually be worth while to the groups who want more bots.

@CaliforniaCajun: CC IT People will start to _care_ when the Mac market share hits 10%. Until then... you want to be a snob, enjoy your insurance coverage.

Disclosure: I'm on Mac, but no one in our team is focused on security on Mac so far. It actually is cheaper to check and correct the few cases of abuse on the Mac platform than really bother about security on Mac so far.

Macs are significantly tougher to break into. There's virtually no malware on Mac OS X. If I were an IT person, I'd take a serious look at them.
