As someone who has to use Salesforce every day... I'm actually kinda excited and pleased by this move. It means (I think) that I can stop using Salesforce's retarded interface (straight out of 1995) for customer service and just use Gmail instead. Yay!

Yeah, it's bullhonkey. Good for Salesforce; no discernible upside for Google. And if there really isn't an upside for Google, it's a lose, because it doesn't build their brand -- it just gets their name said a few times. BTW I am deeply suspicious of Salesforce's sales numbers. We bought the 10-user version for six months and they keep hitting the credit card every six months, for years now. They always refund us when we complain, but they're either thieving, incredibly dumb, or inflating their sales numbers.
