Not sure what that means except that Jerry doesn't have a lot of pull these days. But that is a great sentence. I'd carve that one in stone somewhere.

Most of here on Sand Hill think Jerry Yang is a pussy that has not only lost control but can not admit defeat. His credibility as a leader is in a downward negative exponential function that is fast approaching negative infinity. What a disgrace! Microsoft is an excellent company that can really make something of this proposed merger.

I'd like to be the first one to point out that Jerry's deal with Google has made the company toxic to Microsoft. First the parachute for employees, now a Google tie-up. I think this deal is dead, Jerry put a hole in it's head.

...and people like these are precisely why Y! is in the hole it is in.

The team that was there in 1997 would not let this come to pass. Of course in 1997 Y! had what, 3 or 4 VPs. The title madness started in 1999.
