An OB/GYN who has practiced for 40 years, yet only only claims 4000 deliveries should have his occupational dedication questioned, especially from Paul's generation, as most physicians from his era were private practice or small partnerships, not the big corporate groups. An average of 100 deliveries a year is well under the median for his cohort.

Paul says in 4000 deliveries he's never once felt complications indicated a pregnancy termination to save the life of the mother. Yet, consider just ectopic pregnancies, which is a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implanted itself outside of the womb.

The frequency of Ectopic Pregnancies is "19.7 per thousand pregnancies". If left untreated, there is a real life-threatening danger to the pregnant women of fetal growth where it cannot be accommodated that will result in a ruptured pregnancy.

"A ruptured ectopic pregnancy is a true medical emergency. It is the leading cause of maternal mortality in the first trimester and accounts for 10 to 15 percent of all maternal deaths." - Tenore

The frequency of ectopic pregnancies has greatly increased in the time-span of Paul's OB/GYN practice, so maybe he's just a real lucky guy, who never had to deal with a woman whose life was put at risk by his misplaced morality, but he is still derelict in advancing this quackery on his website. Are we clear so far?

Back to Paul's campaign site. On the page cited above can be found:

"I am strongly pro life. Life begins at conception but, I do not believe this should be a federal matter. All issues of life and violence and crime and murder are dealt with at the local level."

and

"In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094."

Paul contradicts Paul on the same damn campaign webpage. One cannot both be advancing a state's right and a federal determination, they are mutually exclusive. Quit drinking the Paul Kool-Aid around me, because I will call you on your vacuity, and there are many more false assertions about Paul.

I am called a Ron-tard by many of my fellow Republicans because I backed a Republican candidate of my choice. I won't vote Democrat, so come Election Day I am staying home and that will be my vote. So good luck to all you Republicans that have maligned, disparaged and attacked a fellow Republican Candidate. You may have won your candidate the nomination but you have just killed the Republican Party. This is not sour grapes it is recognition that the party is over and it is time to leave.

Well, I've done my share for the guy, having cast my presidential ballot for Libertarian Dr. Paul on no less than two occasions since 1980 (maybe it was three times, I can't remember much of 1988).

Had I lived in a 'battleground' state, where the electoral outcome was not fore-ordained, I would have voted more sincerely and less protest-y, but at least I got to have my say in regards to would-be dope-legalizing presidential candidates. I sincerely hope he doesn't just disappear after all this good fun.
