I have to agree with Figaro. Facebook has many good qualities and lots of users, so it's not going out of business anytime soon. Their board of directors needs to have "the talk" with young Mark. He knows it's coming; it's the talk about now being the right time to bring in an experienced leader.

BTW - no one should blame young Mark for being, er, um, YOUNG! His age is not his fault. Any/all blame goes to his investors if they leave him in the post too long. He can and will contribute much over the next few years --- but it will be from a slightly different vantage point.

sggrf

This guy will have to leave facebook's CEO position as times goes on. In my opinion, he's incompetent at that job. Everything that the facebook did so far in bizdev has been a giant mess. All this publicity about how he allegedly stole the code from his partners and all this Beacon deception about opt-in/opt-out stuff was a disaster for the PR of the company. One thing's clear: facebook is not worth 15B dollars. It's not even worth $5B.

facebook is only good at one thing: raising money. But you can't go on forever and just keep on raising money to pay your bills. If it weren't for MS's credulity and guaranteed revenues, facebook would be in even bigger trouble.

MZ should just let someone else run things... he's in way over his head.

Figaro
