i don't think Digg needs to worry, but i do agree the ongoing development & tuning of the News Feed algorithm is perhaps the single most important factor in Facebook's future revenue potential.

Facebook's News Feed algorithm + Social Ads monetization is directly parallel to Google's Page Rank algorithm + AdWords monetization. now i'm not suggesting the monetization is equivalent by any means, but they are the corresponding crown jewels for each company.

(so btw: do i get a cut of vwag's ad revenue, since i'm being used as the example in your blog post? or am i just an innocent vwag fansumer who happened to be "in the picture"? ;)
