		    <description><![CDATA[<p>Why avoid the paid advertising options? Aren't you trying to get fans on Facebook? Wouldn't paid ads help this (theoretically, at least, until proven otherwise?)?</p>
<p>On a related note, your title's a bit of a misnomer as it's not 8 steps to getting fans so much as it is 8 steps to signing up for a page. None of the steps listed  will necessarily get you any fans besides "Your friends will see that you're a fan, and hopefully sign up as fans, too." And if I'm going to rely on hope, I may as well run some ads.</p>
