And it doesn't include email addresses because those aren't in the api. There have been tools for years that scraped facebook's pages for you and guess what, they got the email addresses because OCR works quite well on images like those on facebook... its just when these apps get any sort of popularity, facebook lawyers them out of the public eye.

The reason they don't include emails is probably that the app is just scraping pages of your contacts...and facebook puts the email address in a pic instead of clear text.
