I presume he stepped down because he couldn't lead a piece of string, much less a company.

Super-smart guy, a genius with protocols, and utterly incapable of managing a development effort. As one could measure by BitTorrent Inc's speed and volume of delivery. Their recent web launch was entirely due to giving IBM Global Services a dump-truck full of money.

But yes, in person, he comes across as pretty aspy, and entirely not violent. A good -- if dorky -- guy.

Also, I think Aspberger's is mainly a problem for the geeks. For the suits, David Hornik observed that the Silicon Valley pandemic is Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

He apparently suffers from Asperger's syndrome which explains his lack of social skills and lack of empathy. I think he wrote those things without realizing what the implications could be. I don't think he's a violent person.
