Movie studios make you sign something agreeing not to sue them if they rip off your idea before they'll even agree to see your script. VCs do the same. Facebook here is actually *proactively* agreeing to delete your submission off its computers if you ask them to. That's probably further than pretty much anyone else does anywhere.

Seriously, VW really needs to get some people who know the industry to vet these stories for ridiculousness, sometimes you really sound like idiots.

Besides most ideas for the Facebook platform are even more simple than the typical web 2.0 startup, so simple that it would really be surprising if other people didn't have the same exact idea....
