]]> <![CDATA[The Man is dead, long live the Man]]> Actually, the BRC Rangers walked around with bullhorns before the burning of the derrick exhorting the crowd to "not enter the perimeter after the collapse." They said a few other things, but that was because we had to sit on our asses in the cold dust for about an hour and a half waiting for them to start.

I did see ONE really fat, naked guy start to run toward the collapsed and smoldering derrick, but 3 rangers got in his way, and the naked drunkster started yelling (presumably about how they were controlling him or something) and tossed down his water bottle into the sand like a petulant 3 year old. After a few more moments with the rangers, he then put his arm around one guy in a friendly gesture, and they escorted him back to the perimeter.

There was nobody else that wanted to follow the fat guy, so I think everyone else just left to go party elsewhere.
