I'm not here to toot the horn of Kijiji, but are you on dial-up or something?

I'm actually surprised at how quickly it manages to load - all things being equal and all that.

Anyway, if you fancy a smack down over the whole affair, perhaps you could take a gander over here and ask one of eBay's head honchos a question in the comments.

Or, you could stop here and snidely side-swipe. ;-)

la-di-dah

No, Kijiji will lose because it's run by eBay, which has repeatedly lost all its market battles where it did not have monopoly power to leverage (e.g. PayPal, eBay Japan, Taobao, Alibaba) because they constitutionally don't know how to compete. They certainly have no in hell chance against an entrenched market leader whose main focus is customers-vs-profits.

Davion

Great "analysis", ahem. A better one would be that eBay and Craigslist together have singlehandedly destroyed ad revenue from US newspapers, once their most profitable areas!

In other news, iPhone declared a failure because not everyone in USA has one yet.

pimpmyPR

They just launched in the U.S. and you're already talking market share? In that case, I'm declaring your reign as Valleywag editor a disaster based on the suckitude of your first 1.5 days-worth of posts ;-)

ChiefCynic

Kijiji and Zooomr are two peas in a pod. Both try and compete against established and entrenched compeditors. Both suck ass.

categorically
