Who knows if they truly are the Titanic. Many companies can continue on like Yahoo is for years without having to fix anything. Yahoo just isn't the company it was a short number of years ago.

I have heard from my friends that morale is not the best but as bad as it was at the end of 01 and into 02. So, it can get worse...

yhoo is definitely the titanic; captain semel and his first mate strategist weiner amazingly remain at the helm even after having hit the google iceberg. sue decker is busy hiring her wedding party to be the band on the deck. vince broady is busy hiring his CNET team to man the lifeboats and acting as though they are salvation when they are really just rats leaving another sinking ship...

It could be worse. It could be Gawker Media, where the madness has only begun to take hold. Here's the scene.

Nick Denton: You're making a big mistake, fellas!
Lockhart Steele: You said you would say that.
Nick Denton: I'm not Fake Steve Jobs!
Lockhart Steele: You told us you'd say that, too.
Nick Denton: All right then, I'm FSJ. Listen to me, I'm giving you a direct order. We're aborting this mission right now.
Lockhart Steele: You said you would definitely say that.
Steele whips out a switchblade. Meanwhile, Scott Kidder grabs Denton from behind, throws him on a tabletop.
