Arrington loves to be hypocritical and outlandishly provocational to get people talking about him, thus increasing knowledge of his blog... He's like the little attention-seeking child in the first year at your school. Ignore him and he'll eventually go away.

he said some deliberately-inflammatory (and factually incorrect) things about the BBC recently which made me realise JUST how provocative he likes to be just to get attention, and I've not really read any of his publications since then because I know what he's up to. I don't find his stuff that interesting or particularly illuminating, anyway.

Christopher

Frank is one of the most decent guys in the domain business. I would have taken offense to Arrington-ogant spitting on the shoes of an entire industry after taking money from good (and presumably bad) participants too! Shame on you Mike. The real winner is Arrington's blog which gets thousands of extra visits from the fracas.

Mark.M.

Frank Schilling just tells it like it is. Doesn't matter if you agree with him or not, agree with what he does or not. Bottom line, he has a good pulse on what's going on with domain names and he knows the history of the industry as good or better than anybody.

davidu
