There are people out there who's personal lives aren't a wreck? There's your new project, make it a dating site where everyone has to have a criminal check and two separate, in-depth, clean psychiatric evaluations on file. Tell me people wouldn't hit that faster than Nick Douglas at an open bar.

Blackjack

The buddihism thing....is that supposed to make Benioff feel better about dropping 20K shares of options on CRM every friggin day??

I suppose I would be a wonderful person too and live that lifestyle if I could cash in almost a million dollars a day and then put out the perception that I was a nice guy......

Ellison, Benioff and now Casnocha

He's a nice enough guy but his blog is a bit "too big for my boots" type. It's cool that he a started a company at 12 but saying that someone is a practicing Buddhist doesn't by definition make that person a good person. Perhaps Ben has been in the Bay Area too long? He should go see the world and not be an armchair phillosopher.

Jay (living in First Life)

I can't bring myself to read the whole thing because I don't care, but I would like to say I am not sure if a cross between Harry Potter and Good to Great should be taken as a compliment.

He's cute, though. Cute, smart men always win a point, at least, by default.

Patricia2

Yeah, he doesn't seem too bad, but, Nick, your questions were completely softball. You're a tough guy when you're sitting, anonymously, on your comfy blogger's couch. But -- when you have to do an interview -- such a pussycat! Just like Michael Arrington when confronted by a cute publicist, bearing flowers. For instance, where was the question about -- visionary! philosopher! -- the book cover? Pah.

Nick Denton

Well he doesn't seem like too bad of a guy, but I really love this line "To be at once entertaining and insightful, outwardly ambitious and humble: it's hard" yup he -nailed- humility.

Rick
