Another sighting of the trademark Mercedes of Steve Jobs — this time, not by a motorist overtaken on Highway 101 by the Apple founder, but on Google Maps. The search engine's new street-level view captures the design-obsessed mogul's silver CL500. (Commenters, below, disagree on the model number.) As soon as I get my iPhone, the new cellphone from Apple, which provides mobile access to Google's map service, this is the first address I'm looking up. [via San Francisco Chronicle]

That's an SL500. Beautiful car.
Too cheap to get the SL600?
Figures.
You can see the AMG badge on the back. It is either a SL55 or SL65.
why dont Gizmodo change their name to AppleModo?
the three first posts just now are all about the worshipped company, its devine products (or implying that all laptops are Macs) and its high priest.
yak.
That's so funny I used to live a few blocks from there in a dumpy little rental house. I didn't know Jobs lived there or I would have stopped by... :)
Funny, the first thing I did was to check that same address when Street Views became available, not sure why. The license plate is indeed missing, in true Steve style. I used to live 2 blocks from there, so that's how I knew the address, but I think it sucks that you didn't blur his address. The guy and his family are entitled to some privacy.
That's either a SL55 or SL65... the tail lights are partially smoked... only the SL55 or SL65 have those (unless you change it yourself, but Job is probably too busy to modify his car).
It's a silver SL 55, same as John Lasseter. I've seen it up close and personal.
You have to zoom out to see it but
do you think Steve Jobs get home Monday night and thinks, "Oh crap I still have to put the garbage cans out. Man, why don't I just get a condo?"
Jobs actually drives an SL55 you mooks. Also, he usually doesn't have a license plate surround, only the barcode. Perhaps its a guest? Phil Schiller?
