Michael Arrington's pet photo copier

Zingfu copyProfileBuilder is a sponsor of TechCrunch40, the startup conference organized by TechCrunch editor Michael Arrington. It's also the subject of a glowing, "exclusive" writeup in TechCrunch today. Coincidence? I'll let you decide. The writeup celebrates ProfileBuilder's acquisition of ZingFu. Say who buys say whom? Exactly. These are companies you're unlikely to need to care about, ever. Except to note this: The friendly TechCrunch article doesn't mention ZingFu's nasty habit of nicking copyrighted images, like this photo of Arrington by Laughing Squid blogger Scott Beale, with no fair-use rationale in sight.

  • This isn't news, we all know that he's a whore for his own investments.

How about more Mahalo news. I could read posts all day about him falling on his face, again.

always with the conspiracy theories!. I was bailed up by them yesterday afternoon with the "exclusive" and I was too tired to argue, didn't know they were a sponsor as I've got nothing to do with that side...indeed, you guys probably know more about the conference than I did, despite me being there to live blog it. You'll have to try better next time when trying to put a post I've written in the conflict of interest column...and no, I wasn't asked to write the post. I'll post the audio next week of the interview I did with them just to prove it (the bloody voice recorder doesn't play with my Mac..need a PC to extract it which is 24 hours away back in Australia).

@Duncan: We need to get you sleeping more, clearly! Australia-to-U.S. jet lag is a pretty decent explanation, I've got to give you that. Next time, tell Arrington he's upgrading you to a sleeper seat.
