Here's a way to get a self-promoting press release, unmocked, into Valleywag: write the item one's self. A friend of Urban Mapping's Ian White, who just scored a deal with Mapquest, mocked up a cute party report. The screenshot, after the jump.

Party reports, no matter what Megan says, are best left to the Nob Hill Gazette, where everyone who didn't get a grip-and-grin taken by the assigned photographer can safely ignore them.
