On the left, beatific investor Rob Hayes of First Round Capital. On the right, worshipful Xobni cofounder Adam Smith, genuflecting before the man who graced his startup with the tall dollars, and helped fund a night of excess last Friday.
Xobni, an email-organization startup launched by Paul Graham’s Y Combinator incubator, has not yet come out with an actual product. But no matter! They threw a party last Friday to celebrate their new office in San Francisco’s Financial District. I, alas, skipped the affair, which, in retrospect, was a bad decision
(no kidding -Ed.), because judging from the pictures,
they had a hell of a time. So, what is Xobni, exactly? From the tipster who alerted us to the photos:
They’ve been around forever, have raised tons of money, rented a ginormous office in a historic building in the financial district, but have yet to release a product.
Sounds like the perfect reason to throw a bash.

Nick Gonzales has a ginormous head.
Is their million dollar TV ad campaign next so they can pimp the hell out of their still-on-the-drawing-board product?
Brilliant idea -- give 100 inexperienced kids a job (seriously 75% of them aren't old enough to drink), plus three guys who may know a little, and some hack business third-tier MBA. Bad product vision, tacky brand image, and some rough long divison of the cash flow over monthly rent for a trendy cardboard box office. 13 months tops.
i don't get it. text says it was an awesome party, but i went to the flickr link and it's just a bunch of pictures of a guys standing around in an office drinking beer. is there another page with the interesting photos?
@transparency: Yeah, picture of Justin drunk and some semi-hot blonde wrestling in an office are not too indicitive of an awesome party. I was thinking the same thing when perusing the photos but Nick's head size was all that lept out.
I'm actually a 3rd tier MBA and have to admit that I would rather watch reruns of "The Larry Sanders Show" than attend this meatfest. It's a bad sign when there is not a single girl I would date in any of the pictures.
