Web 2.2 stealth company

MEGAN MCCARTHY — Some startup execs need to overhaul their party conversation. Take a couple of the attendees at last night's drinks party at San Francisco's Sugar Cafe, held by Kevin Werbach to promote his Supernova conference. Execs from two different "stealth startups" refused to tell me the names of their companies. Stealth startup, as a term and a concept, needs to die. It's annoying, pointless, and reeks of bullshit. If it's so stealth, why are you acknowledging the company's existence at all? You're not making your work sound mysterious or important, you're just making yourself seem like a jackass. Didn't help matters when Stealth Startup Exec #1 said to me, when pressed to describe his concept, "We're a Web 2.2 company."
