Auren Hoffman has become something of a cult figure, to entrepreneurs who witnessed his party skills at a Manhattan event last week. The socially hyperactive Rapleaf founder, one of Peter Thiel's courtiers, was one of the hosts of a barbeque for New York entrepreneurs last week on a Tribeca rooftop. Hoffman, who boasts of his dates with hot Israeli models, seemed more concerned about the photo opportunities than business conversation, according to one amused guest. He and his friends now greet eachother with Hoffman's trademark line, delivered with playa-style pointing: "Girls, girls, come over here for a picture." Cue general hilarity.
