Why is Adeo Ressi smilling? The serial entrepreneur, now CEO of Game Trust, has pulled one over Sand Hill Road. Through a forwarded Skype phone line, Gmail account, and proxy-registered domain name, he's hidden his secret identity as "Ted," the creator of VC-ratings discussion board TheFunded.com. Now, at a time of his own choosing, staged in sync with a Wired profile, Ressi has outed himself. Which tells us one thing: He's much, much smarter than Fake Steve Jobs blogtard Dan Lyons.
TheFunded's "Ted" is Adeo Ressi

yeah, and apparently arrington at techcrunch has still got his panties in a bunch because the story was prepped for release (with notes and stock photos) to wired, not techcrunch...because the people who work at wired are called 'journalists'
as for this dude, seriously, who gives a shit? he got wronged by some vc's - or so he feels - and turns crapping on them into a grand self promotional spectacle? sorry, i'd rather look at a moving screensaver than read some of the crap that's on thefunded....nothing really new or groundbreaking going on at that site other than people saying out loud what a bunch of others already know.
and reading between the lines, i've got to believe that there's a very clear purpose to divulging his identity following the acquisition of his company...
@ResearchZilla: You have got to be kidding -

That is the beauty of it all - saying aloud what everybody knows and comparing the notes on details...
Admit it 'Zilla you are just jealous and Ted is eating your lunch by providing a free research resource for entrepreneurs.
It is amazing that while being paid and funded to run a company, he had the time to start and operate this venture. Any entrepreneur or executive at a startup knows that to be successful you need to give all your time, energy, and focus to building the company. The fact he was doing this on the side is acknowledgment he was cheating the company, the company's employees, and his investors.

@BadAdeo: Howard Hartenbaum, is this you?
Adeo your have done a marvelous thing, saving time to get some "due diligence" on VC's is excellent ,sure some the feedback on The Funded has to be measured some responses are poor, but many are very good so its up to the reader to get his own balanced view.
If you have changed slightly the manners of behaviour of the Valley CV's then that cannot be a bad thing.
Many behave like a honors graduates from the Leona Helmsley school of Manners, all loud worlds and elbows, IF they have made serious money, good manners, civility, kind remarks generally flow.
