Photographic evidence against Andy I. as FSJ:
1) Andy has MacBook Pro in all of the pics on his flickr account. [www.flickr.com]
2) Andy's hands look different: [www.flickr.com]
3) No wedding band: [www.flickr.com]
4) Andy I likes Millenium Falcon watch so much he bought three of them: [www.flickr.com]
FSJ has a diff watch.
But Andy has one other kind of a watch in this pic:

Still diff from FSJ watch.
So, who knows... but I don't think Andy I. is FSJ.
"It's creepy. It's gross. It's wrong...sodomite."
Wait- is Fake Steve saying Nick's hitting on him?
Uh-oh. Uh-oh-uh-oh.
It's the meth that's making him paranoid.
Just say "No", Fake Steve!
Why doesn't someone use language analysis tools on samples of Fake Steve's writing and on samples of the various suspects' writings? There's enough of Andy Ihnatko's around on the web.
There are almost certainly traits in people's writing - sentence length, frequency of different letters and words, etc. - that come through even if someone is disguising his style.
Heck, for "unmasking" FSJ what could be more appropriate than Unmask?

It isn't Andy. The writing styles are different, and a visit to gender genie wasn't revealing, but their dictions were shown to differ.
Unmasking FSJ is just a plain asshole move. Please don't destroy my entertaining fantasy that it's actually Steve Jobs doing the writing.
And, if it is Nick Denton and if his own website were to unmask him, the publicity value will be lost. (Though, I guess if you don't and if he just leaves a trail of breadcrumbs, Valleywag's new media star will be guaranteed another round of talk shows, where he'll be able to shrug and say "I had no idea")
Kendall left this comment on the last post about Facebook:My day has bothered me without a new post on AVCWell that's nice of you to say Kendall, but nobody is bothered more than me by a day without a post. It means I've basically had not a minute of free time all day to write. And I hate that.
Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Blogging, Steve Jobs, TUAW BusinessThe other day, I posted a little summary of the latest attempts to discover the identity of anonyblogger Fake Steve Jobs. At the time, I thought finding FSJ's identity out would be a good time, a fun mystery to solve.
I am Fake Steve Jobs.
Whispering words of wisdom: Let FSJ Be.
