Here's one more thing for which Google, the new bogeyman of the scary future, can be blamed: the terror plot against New York's John F. Kennedy airport. The Smoking Gun releases the government's accusations against Abdul Kadir, one of the conspirators. Dissatisfied with surveillance video shot from the ground, he instructs his henchmen to download the search engine's Google Earth software, to view satellite images of the giant airport.
