A brief break from Valleywag's round-the-clock Benioff coverage. Google's New York cafeteria is finally complete. It looks perfectly spanking, in the picture on New York Magazine's site, but one quibble. The search engine's employees in the suburban desert of Mountain View may need all of their bodily needs taken care of by the corporation. But Manhattan is a city, with restaurants. In fact rather good ones, within a block of the search giant's new Chelsea offices. Here are a few suggestions for those adventurous enough to cross the road, and mix with New York mortals.
- Hiro, in the Maritime Hotel, has excellent sushi
- Buddakan is New York's most lavish new restaurant
- Chelsea Market has a range of great lunchtime eateries, which had been hoping for the extra Google business
