So investor Steve Jurvetson's new rocket — which could so easily have got him into trouble with airline security when he played with the wireframe models on a recent flight — had a successful launch. The emerald-green Telstar Logistics V2.0 — a scaled-down replica of Hitler's V2 'vengeance weapon' — reached a height of 4,888 feet. But don't call the V2 a Nazi rocket, as Valleywag did. Jurvetson, the DFJ partner who spotted Hotmail, gets touchy on the subject. His interest is purely historical. A clip of the launch, after the jump.

For real rocket innovation, you have to visit England. BBC's Top Gear car show which earlier this year launched the worlds apparently largest non-government funded rocket, as they aimed to build their very own Space Shuttle.
It really is worth the investment of 4 minutes of your life..no really, it really is.
