The phones aren't dead. Most of the sales force has just been fired.
time for RH reporters to work on their technorati ratings for their blogs.
Ah...perhaps Valleywag has some shwag VOIP line. I just went through this very involved due diligence process with the following three elements:
1. I typed in redherring.com.
2. I clicked on "Contact Us".
3. I called the number on http://redherring.com/ContactUs.aspx
A cheery voice on the other line answered, "Red Herring, How can I direct your call?"

A light filled with grapes and bubbly.
Read our corporate blog here.
Yeah, we checked on Monday, and it the phone line seems to be working fine. Sorry.
Ah, now I'm hearing that the phones were indeed dead for a while. "they were out. they paid the bill and got them back on pretty quick though. but that's how it's been for years. sometimes its the internet, sometimes its the fedex."
I just received a RH in Dallas, TX. I guess the print version is not dead... yet!
