Here, in an October video, ousted Vimeo cofounder Jakob Lodwick explains how Connected Ventures keeps the office young. His opening thought is the kind of thing that's best both read and viewed. So, here. For your pleasure.
If you want to have a young office full of vibrant new ideas, just buy a bunch of slinkies. That will make all the old people turn into — no, not turn into young people directly — but, it will make them leave. And then they'll be replaced by young people.Maybe Lodwick's departure had less to do with Vimeo's vanishingly small userbase than I thought.

Do we really need more articles of this boring idiot?
I'm old, so I back-buttoned when I saw the Slinky.
Man, what a goldmine for anyone that did apply and who they would consider "old" - it's an HR nightmare!
I seriously gotta get a hold of this guy. He's gotta be doing some major blow and I gotta have some.
How do people like this get hired. Can't wait to see the tech bubble pop; the body count is going to be huge. I just wanna sit back and watch the wreckage.
Well, maybe he was pushed out on behest of HR that assessed how much would age discrimination claims cost them. Maybe there is a suit or two pending already. What an idiot.

New and fresh ideas like workplace harassment. Genius!
Wow. Don't put shit like that on tape.
It's illegal to force people out because of their age.
