"I am watching as the blogging world crucifies me," TechCrunch editor Michael Arrington writes, after he didn't attend a Las Vegas conference where he'd been advertised as a star panelist. Crucifies? Mike, rent a copy of The Passion of the Christ before you, like John Lennon, reach for that self-aggrandizing metaphor again. And if you think your fellow bloggers hate you now, wait'll they find out you've been invited to Davos. Elsewhere over the weekend, funtrepreneur Jason Calacanis got himself booted from the insidery Gillmor Gang podcast. No, we don't listen to it either. But we did play the you're-fired phone call Calacanis posted to his Twitter page. Mental note: Calacanis records his calls.

fyi: he agreed to me taping the call... you might want to correct
At twelve bucks a post, we let you do the correcting.
why did you have to do a second take though?
sounds highly narcissistic...
Yes, long term TC reader who's finally over MA's incredible arrogance. His posts are all reading lately like he's a miserable SOB. Dude, people think you're important. Dude, you're making decent money. Dude, we get it. Now get over yourself. What he does is in the big scheme of life not that important. His talks with the presidential candidates is just another example of how self-important he visualizes himself. He kids himself he's doing it for the good of the people but he only wants to shove it in everyone's face that he's the expert and everyone else is not.
I'll bet you that he's one of those people who say "I'm a great listener" as he's talking right over you/ not listening while he's texting/typing etc.
