"Open Marketers for Open Source" -- just as terrible as it sounds


"Open source products are often high on innovation but low on user experience," self-proclaimed "Web strategist" Jeremiah Owyang notes on his blog. "They come across as geeky, not user friendly, and sometimes, just ugly." The solution? These guys! Who are so just the opposite. Oh the teeth, oh the hair, oh the neck beard and chin strap, too.

  • Why do we need yet another term for blogging, Twittering, emailing and IM'ing? Seriously, lay off the kool-aid guys. Everyone knows how to spam their friends on their latest and greatest project.

  • @figaro: Point taken, but a note about the Amish: I was in Glenwood Springs, Colorado this summer at the Glenwood Caverns, and there were a vacationing group of Amish. Well, they didn't get there by horse and buggy! I talked to one of the gals in the bathroom, and she was wearing makeup, nicely-done! Other than dressing in traditional Amish fashion, they behaved just like all the other tourists there.

    I guess the Amish are full of surprises. :)
