"actually, they are sorta doing it - take a look at the ad delivery during the show 'fringe' in which the ads are preceded by a time definition - i'm amazed watching my won watching the show on dvr - if it says "fringe will return in 60 seconds" he may actually leave the ads running, if no time is presented he knows it's gonna be long so hits ff, if 90 seconds he deliberates....he's even altered the settings for dvr to 10 second bits so he can just hit 6x or 9x to jump back, fascinating..."
