<![CDATA[vision4bg commented on TicketsMyWay: Sell Tickets You Don't Have, Keep Money, Threaten Customers, Profit!]]> Haha, what is with this site? I clicked on gift certificates ([ticketsmyway.com]) and got this:

This company spends a lot of money on advertising and is interested in stopping the suspected click fraud. We know how to stop the average person from running our bill up. What we don't know is if you are smarter or dumber then the average person. $300 goes to you if we can not detect your strategy.

If you think you can slip through undetected then call 702-358-8754. Remember you must be able to prove that you were successful, more importantly we want to know how to protect ourselves from your methods. This is not a job offer nor do we really care if the rest of the world partakes in the click fraud thing. We simply want to know how to stop it from happening to us.

<![CDATA[vision4bg commented on Google's daycare debacle: the Kinderplex memos]]> @sydneywag:

When I first moved here, I was appalled by the holiday situation. 12 days a year including sick leave.

Then I found out that's just on paper. In practice it's far more generous. Also, at Google the standard is 3 weeks. Plus they get longer paternity/maternity leave amongst other perks.

Then there are the benefits outside of holidays. Honestly, even at a startup you get treated far far better as an employee than at an Australian company. How hard it is to provide workers with free soft drink and snacks? Yet I don't know of any Aussie companies personally - it's certainly not the norm like it is in the Valley. The culture at work also values the employee a lot more than in Australia, meaning you feel happier in general. Giving them stick over their holidays is just a cheap cop-out.

<![CDATA[vision4bg commented on Genepax Unveils a Car That Runs on Water and Air]]> You people make me weep, especially you pardyhardy.

In a month this will be completely forgotten and everyone will continue paying close to $5/gallon for gas, and some investors somewhere will have lost their life savings.

What is with the lack of critical thinking going on here? Didn't anyone take physics in high school?

What a crappy letter. Totally over the top, and lacks any sort of decent description of what actually happened, the guy was too busy trying to fill it with simile and metaphor. Failed English major?

Okay, I'm done trashing the consumer. At least it wasn't over the actual event.

<![CDATA[vision4bg commented on Dancing Deer Apologizes For Blondie-Encrusted Metal Spear]]> Decent response, but still smacks of excuses rather than just getting things done. Last time a metal object was found in baked goods in Australia the company recalled *everything* immediately. None of this two weeks "oh, Valentine's kept us busy" crap. What other bits and pieces are floating around in their stuff? I feel sorry for the person who gets a broken tooth or a perforated colon - this "mea culpa" means nothing.

<![CDATA[vision4bg commented on What's Apple's replacement]]> I have had two Macbooks replaced, both after three repair attempts.
