I was in kindergarten during the Watergate hearings. They didn't play it for us on TV, but I remember my parents watching it while I skipped rope.

Magister commented on Live, From New York, It's Saturday Night: Defamer Pays A Visit To Studio 8H, at 2:37 AM on May 15
@Mark Graham: I got more of a Paul Lynde vibe from the performance, but yeah, CNR was a big part of Match Game.
Also, as someone who has seen every SNL, ever: I really appreciate your report and your feel for the honor, but the whole part about the corridor reminded me that Studio 60 is now on Hulu.

Magister commented on Muppets Debate Clinton vs. Obama, at 8:30 AM on May 8
If nothing else, if Obama doesn't win in November (and he's not a sure thing), the long primary battle has given the kids someone to blame.

I live in freaking New Mexico, where it's taken at least a week to count the ballots in the last several elections and somebody's mad at Gary?

Magister commented on Mysterious Earthquake Fails To Destroy D.C., at 7:50 AM on May 8
This may have been covered in an old episode of Wonder Woman;
The Brady Bunch Dad acts with some kind of accent, steals a formula for generating earthquakes, gets exposed to the bubonic plague and then he rings a secret Maryland laboratory with explosives, so that an experimental reactor would melt down and destroy Washington.
Thankfully, the boss from I Dream of Jeanie was an expert in all sciences, so with Wonder Woman's help (she's a wiz at math), they were able to save the day.
(Don't blame me.

Magister commented on IT'S JUST LIKE THEY PREDICTED:, at 3:23 PM on May 6
I don't know.
I just visited Drudge for the first time in years and one of his links to an AP story says that twice as many people over 65 have voted in NC than those under 30, so it may not be an overwhelmingly pro-Obama crowd.

Magister commented on IT'S JUST LIKE THEY PREDICTED:, at 3:03 PM on May 6
While I don't doubt that Obama will carry North Carolina, local reporting is showing a large number of provisional ballots and because they'll need to be weighed, the exit polls may not be entirely accurate.

Magister commented on LIVEBLOGGING THE BEST EVER, at 2:19 PM on May 6
@AxmxZ: Last I checked, Obama was favored in more Congressional districts, so in addition to getting those for the statewide win, his delegate margin from NC should be even greater than what he'd get from a straight proportional distribution.

Magister commented on Poll: 60% Of Democrats Forgot To Take Retard Medicine Before Responding To Poll, at 1:28 PM on May 6
@Doglessliberal: I agree that such a small sample could be misleading and I've sometime questioned the "science" of polling, altogether.
But, I've posted a few reasons to my TPM blog about why I think the continuing race is a good thing and I've touched upon them in some of my comments in this space.

Magister commented on Poll: 60% Of Democrats Forgot To Take Retard Medicine Before Responding To Poll, at 1:04 PM on May 6
@Doglessliberal: Not to state the obvious, but based on the poll, apparently most people want the race to continue.

I'd say that all the numbers sound a little low, but then I'd be failing at math, so I have to accept that they were given only three choices.

@TEAM HEIDI: Though I'd guess they are both over eighteen, it appears that the age of consent in Massachusetts is most likely sixteen, with no special footnotes or notations.

I always think of Ryan Reynolds as the slacker from Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, then I remember that he's also done some films.
