Hi Gina, I'm a long time lifehacker reader and love your site! I was hoping you could give me some advice.
Somehow I accidentally deleted ALL of my photos on my PC
and I managed to recover them all with photorec, a program I read about here.
Now my question is how do I go about re-organizing my
4000+ pictures that I have accumulated for the past several years the quickest, and easiest way? Before I
had them sorted in seperate folders by event like "picnic '06" and "trip to hershey park" now I have all of them in a single folder and I need to organize them but I don't have time to sit here and sort each one. Please help.

Gina, I posted a little script example to replicate the Windows7 Right/Left Snap in that LH post ([lifehacker.com]). I wrote it in Quickmacros2 (www.quickmacros.com). I am just an extremely enthusiastic user and not an official shill but I was wondering if Lifehacker would do a Hi5 or something regarding the various macro-scripting programs out there. I have seen brief mention on LH here and there of AutoIT scripts. I think the readership might find QM a bit more approachable if they don't have a programming background, yet it's hyper-flexible for the power users! The amount that's on the forum and the responsiveness of the author Gintaras Didzgalvis is ridiculous.

Hi Gina,
I really like your articles - especially about working with a PC and mac... so I chose you for my question.
I am really frustrated from looking for a solution to my problem. I have a desktop PC with Win XP and a Mac laptop - I also have a 5th gen. Video iPod. I don't have a huge collection of mp3's just about 800 of them or so. I synchronize my two computers' music folders using a third party tool (was SugarSync, now it's Synkron) but I'm trying to look for a media player that can play my music - it needs to have the following features:
1. Watch the music folder and automatically mimic changes in any files that were added, removed, or modified in the file system (think tags and playcount).
2. Sync with my iPod to copy the music into it (I'm not interested in getting the music back from the iPod).
3. Support tags or some way to tag my mp3's like gmail tags e-mail (I'm thinking I can let this request go because I can use the IDv3 comment field and smart play lists)
* If there is no such cross-platform app, I can probably make do with just one player that can integrate with my iPod - as long as the other can watch the local music folder.
Prior to my iPod days I used to be a huge Winamp user - the I switched to iTunes, which kept messing my library time after time when I'd try to copy my playlist file and .xml file from pc to mac and back... it's Hell!!!!
- - - that said, heLLp me!

Hi .... Lifehacker is really a great site . But don't you think it would be great if we just had a new user tutorial about the stuff they can do and things like that ??
I got stuck in how-to make friends ... and I'm still trying to find out how to follow somebody !

Hi, quick question, what's with the massive buttons on top of the page? It seems to slowly be propagating through the gawker website network, I'm sad to say it's hideous :(
Could it be resized to something that takes up less space on the webpage? As any suggestion to completely remove it would probably be pointless on my part hehe.
Thanks for your time,
Track

Can't find it in help - how to delete favorites? Once we have clipped an article into favorites... how to remove it later?

Hi Gina,
I thought you might like to mention that David Allen is offering a free trial to his members only website GTD Connect.
Have a good one

Gina, I love this site. I've been on it for days now. I was seaching and seaching...and I can't find anything on the hype machine.
It's a great site to find new music. You should check it out and spread the word to all other lifehackers. or just check it out and enjoy.

Hi Gina,
Am new here and I like this site very much. I hate to ask but am looking for a program/plug-in or add-on to firefox or any other browser like Opera. The program in question has to do with sending a web page to a friend where you had made Highlights and comments to the page you've sent. Am not sure what am suppose to look for, maybe am missing something that's already included in firefox, I don't know. Can you help. Thanks

For some reason, since I'm in canada, when I load the site it sends me to ca.lifehacker.com which isn't right because that site doesn't exist yet... Whatever happened to the redirecting should be reverted cause now I need to put us. infront every time I want to come here. Thanks in advance!
