Accused murderer Googled "how to kill with a knife"

By Jackson West, 2:40 PM on Wed Jun 18 2008, 1,751 views

Neil Entwistle is on trial in Massachusetts, accused of murdering his wife Rachel and daughter Lillian Rose. In the course of the trial, computer forensics expert Detective Lawrence James revealed that a search of the defendant's laptop found that he'd performed a Google search on the phrase "how to kill with a knife" just four days before the slayings.

Our own quick check of Google shows that whomever performed the search would have found what they were looking for, from tips on how to achieve an "instant kill" with one stroke, how to kill with a variety of common household implements and how to knife someone kung fu style. Google does promise to "index all the world information and make it useful and accessible," so there you go. Poverty and sexual frustration might have been Entwistle's motivation — he'd also recently searched for "half-price escorts." (Photo by AP/Darren McCollester)
