Here's a hefty guilt trip for Twitter's overtaxed engineers to bear: TechCrunch editor Michael Arrington has blamed a recent outage for making him feel bad. He writes: "I'm in a particularly bad mood because I have food poisoning (thanks very much Grand Hyatt Seattle) and Twittering it was going to make me feel marginally better because a bunch of people would say something nice in a reply. But they take even that away from me." It's official: Arrington is self-medicating with Web 2.0. Folks, should we stage an intervention? What an complete and utter crybaby. Just as many cases of food poisoning come from "user error" as from eating at a restaurant. Symptoms can come on a full 48 hours after ingesting the bacteria that your body most desperately wants to purge. In short he should be saying "thanks very much Michael Arrington." What is the whining/not whining ratio of with this guy?
This guy is up there with Scoble and "G- Gurbaksh" as the biggest tools on the web.
With Twitter down, there was nowhere for the diarrhea to go but out my ass.
He makes me sick as well, maybe this was just a case of self-reflection?
would it require touching him?
I would like to point out the fact that the site you are choosing to read, [valleywag] published an article about nothing more than Michael Arlington's response to the current twitter mess in conjunction w/ his health status.. *WE* (me included) are here reading about this, so what I have to wonder is how in the world can any of you call Mr. Arlington a tool? We are the ones reading a blog post regarding the trivial facts of his afternoon, so any bad mouthing of Michael Arlington on this thread can only be interpreted as just being "a hater". Love him or hate him, he is one of the standards by which blogs/bloggers/entrepreneurs/etc are judged in this business, so its really hard for me not to give him a lot of credit and have a lot of respect for getting himself where he has. Just my 2-cents. Cheers! - Nick
Nasty Arrington.
what a douchebag. while I use (and somewhat like) twitter, i would remove any who tells me about their food poisoning via a tweet.
worse than whining is his looseness with facts
Arrington is such a dick. He has no friends. It must be nice for him and look around everyday and she a bunch of fake friends sucking up to him for a post on TC
