Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is Iron Man

TonyStarkandLarryEllison.jpgBesides creating one of the world's most successful tech companies, Larry Ellison invented the 5 o'clock shadow plus blazer look. He drives an Audi R8 to the gym — the car Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson described as "like smearing honey onto Keira Knightley." Ellison also owns a gigantic high-tech yacht on to which he disappears for months at a time. Face it, people: He is Tony Stark, known as Iron Man in the press. And his employees think so, too. "Having watched the movie at an Oracle employees premiere," one writes, "I can agree and I'm sure so do my fellow Oracle employees." Clips for comparison, below.

  • Hmmm... No. If you want to see Ellison's alter ego in a movie, check out Tim Curry's performance in McG's "Charlie's Angels".

  • LOL. Great headline.

  • Larry Ellison is the Anti-Bill Gates not Tony Stark.
Tony Stark would have crushed windows and not just hit the complain about windows button every chance he gets.

  • I agree. :-) When I learned about Mr. Ellison, whom I consider a very sophisticated man (he trims his beard), has a Japanese style house and does the America's Cup. I am not sure he has a Mrs. Peppers (maybe his is a Japanese lady?) and wants to lay down with female reporters, but definitively, the comparisson... It is like you're onto something.- Well I was very fascinated by Mr. Ellison being a young man, hitting the road with an old purple chevrolet, smoking some pot, and later on founding Oracle. That whole biography is really fascinating.

  • The Jeremy Clarkson quote is "into", not "onto". World of difference.
