Lily-white couture aficionado Marissa Mayer is a champion of her gender at Google, struggling to ensure that 25 percent of its engineers are women. How is she doing on other measures of diversity? Google has come under fire from Congress for offering H-1B visas to foreign workers rather than increasing its numbers of African-American hires. Perhaps the problem lies in its executives' social circles. A collage of Mayer's Facebook friends in the Google network reveals very few faces that are not white or Asian.
How many black friends does Marissa Mayer have? Let's count!

Marissa: "I'm voting for Obama. Doesn't that count?"
if you squint your eyes, you can see a cupcake
did you find that on stuff white people like?
Well, one's wearing some kind of scuba mask, so you've got to assume that's a white person. One guy looks Indian, but I think it's a trick and he's just a tan Jew who hasn't shaved. Asian baby, which was probably adopted by a white person. I don't see any Hispanics or black people, actually.
Is being attractive a good predictor of software development ability? I am worried that Google thinks it is.
Sixth row, forth from right is clearly a "person" of color.
4th row, 7th from the left is definitely a person of color.
Quotas for Google! That should speed up their demise.
@dalejo: I've said it time and again it's the merger with DoubleClick, which brought city college graduates into the company, that will end Google. These people actually worked during college! Just think of the work ethic they must have. It gives Eric shivers.
'Google does not care about black people.'
@BobDope: Star-worthy.
There are a few desi faces, but how do you define Asian?
The FadBook group is not a good sampling of people in general or her friends.
I belong to a car club. All of the members are white. Does that mean that I have no black friends? No. That particular pool is ridiculously narrow and exclusive.
@macbeach:
That's actually me.
