Somebody tell Biz Stone and Evan Williams to get the zin and gruyere ready, because here comes the NPR set. This American Life host Ira Glass and Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody just joined Twitter. Glass's first reports need more dramatic music: "I already have 4 followers and I haven't told a soul that I've created a twitter account. This is fun!" Cody seems more comfortable. " My Dog is Currently: showing a dehydrated cow penis who's boss," she writes. Meanwhile, Hitwise reports that Twitter ranked #439 among social networks and forums last week, and #4,309 among all websites. So, despite growing eightfold in the last year, the site remains quite small. Expect it to remain so. That is, until it's featured on Things White People Like.

HONEST TO BLOG?
No link love for TWPL?
I just got the twitter newsletter from Biz Stone telling me Diablo Cody is twitting.
This is obviously some high meta value important type shit if it's on Valleywag too.
Valleywag really needs to change its name to twitterfacebookwag, since that is pretty much all you guys cover these days. Oh, that and hookers for some reason. Twitter, Facebook and hookers. Is the ultimate in silicon valley to use a Twitter widget on Facebook why fucking a whore and letting Julia Allison film it for Vimeo or some other hasbin video site?
Whoa! Twitter just sent me an email saying I'd been removed from their email list.
Did they read (and not appreciate) my comments here at Valleywag? This is truly more meta than I thought.
Also, who knew twitter was so sensitive?
Thanks Valleywag. I think I've been 86ed from Twitter.
Now I'm going to have to start tumblring or something.
I'd like to see another Glass, and one of Ira's relations, on Twitter: a certain Philip Glass!
@thebeerbitch: Nope, honey, the account is still there. Don't go to Tumblr, don't go!
@Jeremy: Phew!
Thanks Jeremy. That would have ruined my day.
