That's because contrary to people like Pat Robertsons and the (admittedly weak) efforts of the Bush administration, we are not living in a de facto theocracy like most of the Islamic countries that do go nuts over this stuff. We are a country founded on the idea of free speech, even if it may be seen as offensive (or sacrilegious) to someone else.
