At last, some news to chew on! Google's earnings stood out — but for all the wrong reasons, teaching its egotistical executives all the wrong lessons. Microsoft came out with a stupid sales video, and followed it with a stupider subscription-software plan. Is this the incompetent Yahoo's trying to avoid? Like Napster's Shawn Fanning, who must be wondering why Volkswagen hired him as a pitchman but never once mentioned his company's name, we're left enriched but bewildered.
