Damn, the Letterman Digital Arts Center (Lucasfilm) dining commons could use this guy. They're healthy to a fault. Some heavy fried food would be a nice change of pace every now and then!

Well he should fit right in now, shouldn't he?

What's wrong with fried, heavy things? Tofu does not an inspired engineer make, and as we all know, you don't win friends with salad.

That's a crock. Josef made great food, smoothies to die for. Also he was one of the people who actually cared about vegetarians and vegans, which in some offices are usually forgotten. Sad to see him go, he really 'got it'...

His cafes attract flies, he can't produce good food. His Cafes are on the bottom of the list as per Campus survey. Is it who you know and who recommends you will get you the job at Facebook? Right?

To echo the ex-googler above: Josef's a great cook and he made some of the best food at the Googleplex. He'll be missed. Yet another loss for Google.

vegans and vegetarians need to learn that they are 2nd class citizens. Google should hire one of the iron chefs.

Josef's cafe does great breakfasts, but that's it. But how can you screw up breakfast?
I'm over here in the Critt campus of GOOG and I can assure you that competing head to head with the other two cafes at Critt for lunch, he's 3rd out of three ( Lunch Box, Pure Ingredients cafe, Fourteen) when it comes to volume/visits by googlers. I agree that he's definitely not the best Google chef. The only way they get people to come for lunch is to invite a guest chef like Sam Choy or some local sushi chefs from Mountain View. I went to their taste of Korea lunch one day, it was horrible. If you ask any Googler what's their top 3 fav cafe. I'd say 80% of Googlers would not have a Josef Desimone in the top three as their favorites

Yowsa! Truth hurts, huh Joey? A bucket of bacon fat wight taste better that a leaf of kale, but it's still a bucket of bacon fat(bleeagh!) Good luck at facebook greasy Josef!

Very true peeps Josef is no TopChef. He oeprated his cafes like cranking greasy amchine. Facebook will get fried superpokes from the kitchen. Watchout y'all at
