We thought maybe Google barred its little yellow Street View man from Marissa Mayer's road by accident. But, as the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." Google Earth Blog reports that Google has updated its Street View feature with new maps throughout flyover country, as well as enhancements in the Bay Area. But did the camera trucks visit Mayer's little corner of Stevenson Street? See for yourself, below.

Is this article really necessary?
If you pan around, you see the scaffolding still up on the Argent/Westin remodel. That was finished last year.
@mandarin: Careful with this question. Can't say where the answers might lead.
@mandarin: This is more newsworthy than Gawker affiliated Allison and FoolBook
This just shows how Google and San Francisco will do whatever it damned well pleases. The irony here is that we all put Google in its position and without us, it would be nothing.
@mandarin:
Just another slow news day.
Half the Valley has been off this week for spring break anyhow. The commute has been great!
Has streetview covered any other tiny alleys in SF?
Nice digs, bitch. I thought the only people who lived in the Four Seasons were mafiosos with gold chains around their necks.
There are tons of streets in SF that Google Street View has not yet covered. Just surf over to Google Maps, and look at the SoMa district. Only the major streets (Mission, Howard, etc., 4th, 5th, 6th) are covered.
If you go downtown, the coverage is even worse. Pine and Bush are covered, but not Post, Sutter, Mason, Powell, Grant nor California.
As a matter of fact, *not* getting covered is more the norm in this part of town.
Argh, I'm an idiot. I'm looking at Google Traffic coverage, not Street View.
Let me amend my comments: significant portions of some of the smaller SoMa streets aren't covered (Minna, Jessie, Stevenson, Natoma, Tehama, etc).
