Just when i though i'd stopped finding purile humor in the name of Nintendo's console, Best Buy manages to make me chuckle again.
Sweet! Chicks, video games, and prizes!
I win, you win, America wins...
@saint44: Yeah, but it's at BEST BUY, so we actually all lose.
I'd hit it. Oh wait, this isn't Fark...
Yeah, if it wasn't for the fact that it's Best Buy, this could be neat. But I doubt Gamestop would attract quite the same demo as Best Buy shoppers.
Come on, Best Buy, we don't need obscene references (and I think this is bordering on it...)
Then again this IS best buy.
Our Best Buy can't be doing this..they can't keep Wiis in stock. My co-worker is desperately seeking one (and she is female, maybe she should try to win it) but why advertise something so heavily that YOU CAN'T SELL?
This would make sense if they were sitting on a buttload of Wiis...
Is this another case of profiling? What, no guys allowed?? I smell a new training book:
How to get young, gullible women into the store.
Part A: Advertise fun and prizes, women LOVE free stuff.
Part B: Never let the actually TOUCH the Wii, just show how it works, tease the female customer.
Part C: After successfully completing a "sale", have the security guard grope them down for stolen merchandise if they won't produce a receipt.
WOW, makes me wanna jump in the car and wait in the parking lot until Sunday.
This is so not aimed at techie women or gamer girls. I might attend just for the chance at a spa card though (I already own a Wii and a GPS).
On the other hand, it also might be fun to mess with the sales folks who will be trying to talk down to us.
This uses the same concept as Ladies' Night at bars. They draw women into a place that is frequented primarily by single, desperately lonely dudes in an effort to attract more of the dudes into the establishment so that they might spend monies.
Having said that, you'd better believe I'm gonna be there, trolling for gamechicks!
@Cyfun: The gamechicks will be in a lan party on sunday but I'm sure you will find plenty of married soccer moms.
@Buran: Obscene? Either I'm naive, or you've got a dirty mind. Couples often refer to "We time" -- time together without the kids, household chores, etc. I assumed it was a play on that.
What are you referring to?
somehow, i doubt that any of the women that participate in this will be hot. my guess is, fat middle aged moms. but i hope i'm wrong.
Thank the gods I didn't see this until now. I probably would have headed down there and pwnd their sad selves. WHY DO THEY KEEP THINKING ALL WOMEN LIKE CASUAL GAMING? I do not WANT to play Cooking Mama. Why can't they do one of these where I could win a PS3? That would be worth showing up for.
