At last, online data shows at least one reader has attempted to take my advice. He made contact with the original "high-dollar hottie," Anne Marie. But she explains his one big goof.
Today I received an email from a gentlemen who addressed me as "Lara" asking me about my availability next month. For those of you who don't know I retired yeeeaars ago! I took the time to kindly write him back and say I'm not Lara, I'm retired and have a great day. He wrote back with a link to this article...
Anne Marie and Jet Set Lara were both featured in my post. My reader confused Anna Marie, who's no longer for hire, with Lara, whom you still can contact for a date. Glad to hear a connection's been made. Maybe read Valleywag with both hands next time?

i bet the guy was one of those who said
"i will never pay for sex.. plenty of girls come on to me already"
Its amazing the lengths at which some of these prostitutes will go to make it appear as if they're something more than just that.. a prostitute.
@Zoo: yeah... and some of them say that they are intelligent and getting a masters in this or that...
That doesn't change the fact that they are selling their bodies for money. So that makes them, despite a website, so-called education and exorbitant fees, the same as the tricks on the streets of SF. I'm just being real.
@Fidel on the Roof: Opinions vary, Fidel. Some sex workers are bottom-dwelling scum. Others are the most fantastic people you could hope to meet. Much like any other profession, with the possible exception of lawyers.
It may be just a coincidence that in the south we pronounce it like "retard".
@bugz321: i bet when ur about to be on trial for murder that high price lawyer might start to look pretty good.
@yawnster: Do you know something I don't?
@bugz321: I'm sure there are tons of great personalities out there. Maybe some with good hearts too. I was just commenting on how dressing it up or dressing it down, prostitution is prostitution.
You are right... there are good and bad in every field. Ha! True about the lawyers. But maybe not the pro-bono or low income serving kinds. They are good :-)
Am I the only one who sees a "contact for a date" link - and its pulsating, right?
@Fidel on the Roof: That's like saying "whether you flip burgers at McDonalds or are the sous chef at Spago, it's all the same... same profession, cooking is cooking!"
@westphalia: Yes... it is. The pay may be different, but you live and die by your customers. In some cases, you are enslaved to ratings and critics. You make sure that you don't kill your customers with undercooked food.
It all boils down to the same thing. Hot stove, grease, unhappy and happy customers, asshole co-workers, good second managers, etc...
I see what you are trying to say, but I have to stand by my earlier comment. Sell your body on the street for $30 or discretely at the Four Seasons for $3000... you are still selling your body at the price point that people are willing to pay. You are a commodity. Know what I mean?
