I don't believe their estimates for "downloads" is correct.. I think they mean plays.. and as of right now one of her songs has 300,000 plays.. that doesn't necessarly mean 300,000 people downloaded it.

@Zoo: True. I don't think this is correct. At this time, a free post showing pictures of the girl is at 200-300k clicks at Gawker.com. Her album listens are at 400k. Gawker traffic used as a loose data point (I know, very loose) I doubt people are a) interested in her music more than her photos b) even if more interested in her music, I doubt you'd have more people willing to pay for it. The free beauty shots should have a lot more interest.

Seriously, assume she gets a 1% conversion rate (and that's generous) she's sold maybe 3,000 downloads at $0.68 each, she's made a whopping $2,040. Of course 2 grand isn't going to make headlines so you get bullshit stories like this one over and over again.
