BBC rolls out absolutely useless streaming TV for iPhone

iplayerlogo.pngThe paid-for-by-British-TV-owners BBC has rolled out an iPhone compatible version of its on-demand streaming video service, iPlayer. Neat, right? Yeah, kinda. It's Wi-Fi only and, oh yeah, available strictly in the U.K. What's the point of all that, then, if I can't watch new episodes of EastEnders?

  • Call me when they allow you to get BBC in America. I'm so fucking sick of having to pirate Quite Interesting, Top Gear and half a dozen other shows. BBC America is garbage, and the little bit they sometimes have on PBS early in the morning isn't something I'm awake to witness.

  • Suck it up, now you know how us Brits feel about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Heroes, The Unit, 24 and CSI.

    God save the Queen!
